Program Overview
The Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) program is a fast-track, 4-week course designed to prepare you for a front-office career in healthcare. You'll gain the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to manage the administrative side of a medical practice — from scheduling and patient intake to insurance verification and electronic health records.
Medical administrative assistants are critical in keeping healthcare offices running smoothly and play an important role in the patient experience. This program teaches the fundamentals of administrative duties, reviewing and answering practice correspondence, operating computer systems to accomplish office tasks, calls, and schedule appointments. The course also includes updating and maintaining patient and other practice-specific information and coordinating operations reports such as time and attendance.
Upon completion, you'll be fully prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) CMAA national certification exam — one of the most recognized credentials in medical administration. Our instructors guide you through every topic on the exam and provide practice tests so you walk in ready to pass.
